Now don't let this precious little picture of a sleeping baby fool you. Beckham only took naps during our travels for a grand total of a half an hour. The other hours he was yelling. Just want ya to know I am mad! We sang just about every song we knew, played countless games of peek-a-boo, and read and re-read all of our books. Yes. It was exhausting.
Thankfully we have some family along the way, so we could break up the long drive. They were a blessing! Thanks, Jenn. Our little boy was completely spoiled at his Aunt Jenn's house.
Once we got to beautiful St. George, we had a lovely time. Jason had to go do some work, so Beckham and I took the liberty of going to my sister's house to hang out until Dad was done that evening. Beckham was thrilled to see his cousins and play.
After such a fun day with no nap, Beckham decided to take a rest at 5:00 that night at our hotel before going out on the town.
And see what a few minutes of shut-eye will do for a boy! Although there is no smile here in the picture, he was much happier. Here he is ready to go in his new shark stroller.
We took our little family to the temple ground. It was so beautiful.

And we went to the visitor's center to see the Christus. Beckham got really excited to see Him. The whole time he kept reaching his little hand up to try to hold Jesus's hand. It completely melted my heart.
After we went to the famous splash pad at the town square. Beckham was ecstatic to be in the water.
There is also a merry-go-round right by the splash pad. How fun is that?! It is just in the middle of a little park. How fun! Beckham was not too sure about the ride, but I thought it was simply wonderful.
The next day made a quick trip to Pioneer Park to fully enjoy the red rock. Beautiful! I don't know that Beckham was as happy as I was to run and climb around on the rocks, but I think he liked his time there.
We also visited Brigham Young's winter home and the wild life museum before this little boy zonked out.

That afternoon, Jason met up with an old missionary friend at a cheery little frozen yogurt shop. Dave taught Jason Spanish in the MTC. They were very happy to see each other. Beckham did not sit very still during the visit. He ended up walking all over the shop exploring. Beckham used a plastic chair to balance and help him get to every corner. Such fun for a boy!
Later we shopped at the outlets for a little bit. We didn't last too long, but we all
spoiled ourselves with some new items.

My sister, Steph, had us over to eat that night with my cousin. It was so fun to get together and visit for a bit. And, the meal was delicious.
The next morning we went swimming at the hotel, which was a hit with Beckham. After we went to Red Lobster. Jason was oh-so happy to eat some sea food, and, boy, did we feast.
And like that, our little vacation was over after only a day and a half of playing. We got strapped into the car right after lunch and headed home. It was a rough drive again for us. Beckham sure struggled in that car seat (but really, who can blame him!). We stopped half way through to stay the night at my brother's house. Beckham was relieved to be out of the car (and so were we), and he loved playing with some cousins.
Really we only had a mere afternoon on Sunday to relax and rest before a busy week. Jason is now back in school, and we are back to the busy routine. With the hustle and bustle of things, we are still wishing we had just another day of playing in beautiful St. George.
