St. Patrick's Day

Here is Beckham ready for church in his St. Patrick's Day attire.  I don't beleive there is any Irish blood in us, but we enjoyed this holiday.  We definately are lucky to have this little guy with us.   Yes.  Lucky, indeed.

6 months

Beckham is now 1/2 year old! Boy! The time has just flown by. Last night, Jason and I reminisced about the morning he was born. It seems like yesterday. Here are just a few things he had been up to at 6 months.

*He sits! Well he is still trying to get it all down, but he does very well. We are so proud!

*We have been going through a "stranger danger" phase. He is a little hesitant around people doesn't know. It took us by surprise because this appeared out of the blue.

*Beckham's hair is coming in. Slowly. I can already tell he has a cowlick on the back of his head.

*Beckham still loves his story time. Now, he likes to help hold onto the book and turn the pages.

*We experienced the solid food woes and are still trying to get the hang of solid food. He eats and enjoys rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, and pears.

*Speaking of food, Beckham is now in a new high chair.  It attaches to the counter and he really enjoys it.  I think he just likes the fact that he is up where everyone else is.  He is pretty content to help me cook, help Jason study, and play with toys from here.

*Beckham is a talker. He babbles and mumbles. Most if the time it ends with him blowing bubbles. No definite words yets but he is sure trying.

*This little guys has rolls and Mom loves them.  I love the little dimples in his elbows and knuckles.

He is a sweet and happy boy. One day I will realize that he is a big kid, so for now I just savor each moment with my baby Beckham.

just a quick trip to see family

We were over due for a trip up to see Bumpa and Nanna.  Last weekend, we decided to drive up and spend the weekend with our family.  It was a quick trip, and well worth the drive!

Beckham was beyond spoiled.  Looked at all of these toys.  He just didn't even know what to do with himself.  He was quite content to sit and listen to everyone around him.  Nanna would just talk to him and he seriously just loved it.  We have to apologize to Bumpa.  Beckham kept pulling on his oxygen cord.  Ouch!  But for some reason it sure facinated Beckham.

Beckham was so happy to see everyone and loved all of the attention.  He kept giving Jayme kisses and hugs.  I guess he just missed her so much.

We came up Friday night and left Sunday afternoon.  Too short!  Beckham was so happy to be there and see everyone.  We hope to be back there soon!
