This post is a little out of order, but oh well.
Over the course of these 10 years, KSL has conducted a few interviews with the Pollards. The link below lets you hear the story from Michael.

a special celebration
Over ten years ago, my Father-in-law was diagnosed with a rare disease that caused his some of his organs to shut down. This month marks the ten year anniversary of the five organ transplant that Michael underwent. Most individuals with his condition only make it a few month after a transplant of this kind. Michael has now made it ten years. Some years have rough and some times the Pollards thought he wouldn't make it. It is truely a miracle to have him in our life. There was a beautiful open house this weekend to celebrate this accomplishment. It is a bit difficult to describe the help and support that the entire community has shown to our family these 10 years. There are many more people who have gone above and beyond to help us. We are all so grateful for their love and support. This weekend, we were happy to these people come celebrate with us.
Blessed?? Yes, indeed.(I apologize for the wedding picture. It's nice to have an excuse to share it because I love them!)
